The pavement- where some of the most interesting, radical and violent exchanges and encounters take place. At once our stomping ground or turf and the path taking us somewhere else. This is no gutter press nor does it occupy the penthouse floor of an ivory tower. We do not indulge in voyeuristic slumming nor do we engage in blue sky thinking - the polluted air we breathe remains preferable to altitude sickness.
